The Pulse Memorial Advisory Committee, consisting of families, survivors and other community stakeholders, was recently created to guide engagement toward the recommendation of a conceptual design for a permanent memorial to the Orlando City Council by the end of this year.
This survey is an opportunity for you to share how you are personally connected to the Pulse Memorial project. Whether your involvement is driven by personal experiences or a passion for the project’s mission, we want to hear your story. Your feedback will provide valuable context that can enhance our collaborative efforts and strengthen our collective commitment.

Questions: The survey includes questions about your personal background, reasons for your interest in the Pulse Memorial project, and any experiences that relate to your participation.
Confidentiality: Your responses will be confidential and used solely for the purpose of improving our project and fostering a supportive community.
Participation is entirely voluntary. Your input is greatly appreciated and will contribute to the ongoing success and inclusivity of our project.

Pulse Memorial Engagement Virtual Open House has finished this stage
The first phase of this process began in May 2024. First steps involved interviews and outreach with key stakeholders and small focus group discussions.
The information gathered from this outreach and engagement led the formation of a Pulse Memorial Advisory Committee.

Pulse Memorial Engagement Virtual Open House has finished this stage
On June 7, 2024, Dr. Larry Schooler announced the creation of a working Pulse Memorial Advisory Committee to consist of members representing victims’ families, survivors and other stakeholders, as well as community leaders and those with technical experience in design and engineering, such as landscape architects.
On July 10, 2024, the city announced the Pulse Memorial Advisory Committee will consist of 18 members.
Pulse Memorial Engagement Virtual Open House is currently at this stage
Monthly meetings of the committee will occur through the end of the year and will also be available for the public to attend virtually or in-person, in English and Spanish.
In addition to the committee’s work, families, survivors, and the broader community will have multiple opportunities over the next six months to provide input, along with a virtual space online for feedback and a dedicated telephone number for those wishing to communicate by phone or text message.
