Orlando's Vision Zero Safety Action Plan Update
Welcome to our page! We're excited to share the latest updates on Orlando’s Vision Zero Safety Action Plan Update. We're taking bold steps to make our streets safer, more walkable, and more connected for everyone who lives, works, and travels in the City Beautiful!
What is Vision Zero?
Vision Zero is the principle that the only acceptable number of deaths or serious injuries on our roadways is ZERO. The City of Orlando began developing its first Vision Zero Orlando Safety Action Plan in 2018 (adopted 2021) to outline our commitment to eliminating traffic fatalities and serious injuries by the year 2040, with a strong emphasis on both community engagement and data-driven strategies.

Now, nearly five years later, we’re building on that momentum with updating the Vision Zero Action Plan! This will help us develop a network to prioritize future safety investments.
How can I get involved?
Your experiences, priorities, and ideas influence our future Vision Zero strategy. You can share your input at in-person project events and through online activities. Check out the ways you can get involved below:
Share Your Vision Zero Story
Have you or someone you know been affected by a traffic crash, or do you have a safety story to share?
We invite you to share your experience to help raise awareness and remind us why this work matters. You can:
- Share the story of a loved one, friend, or neighbor who has been impacted by a crash.
- Tell us about your own experiences walking, biking, or driving and how safety has affected your daily life.
- Reflect on why safer streets are important to you and your community.
Your voice is powerful. Every story helps us better understand the human side of traffic safety and inspires action to make our streets safer for everyone.
- There are no stories to display. Why don't you share one?
